This policy establishes how Friends of Unity [FoU] will use information we gather about you from your visit to our website. The privacy of members and visitors is of utmost importance to us. 

If you visit a FoU site... 

1. to read or download information:
we may collect and store information for statistical purposes. For example, we may count the number of visitors to the different sections of our site to help us make them more useful to visitors. All information gathered may be used by the FoU Executive of the Web Manager for statistical reporting and research purposes.
2. to send us an E-mail:
by sending us an electronic mail message, you may be sending us personal information (e.g., name, address, E-mail address).   We may store the E-Mail details and the address of the sender in order to respond to the request or to otherwise resolve the subject matter of your E-mail.

FoU is not an official organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia.

FoU supports Unity, which is a State group participating with Uniting Network.

Unity participates as a State group with Uniting Network, the national network for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people, their families, friends and supporters across the Uniting Church in Australia.

This web site is managed by an elected officer of FoU who works within the Executive of FoU and is subject to its guidance.  While FoU attempts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information contained in this web site, FoU, its officers, Web Manager, members and agents are not responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience, however arising, from the use of, or reliance upon this information or any information contained on its web pages.

Where the material on the site is an official position of FoU it is identified as such and remains the copyrighted property of FoU.  However as to the material not so identified:

FoU releases press statements from time to time under the authority of its Executive.  All such statements are to be displayed in their entirety, without edit or censure and must be acknowledged as FoU Statements.
